Adjusting the Lap Band
A lap band adjustment can easily be done in a matter of minutes in a lap band doctor's office weeks and months after the initial surgery. The adjustments are done to loosen or tighten the band as needed.
By having the lap band specialist Inject saline into the port, it inflates the band, making the route to the lower part of the stomach smaller, which further prohibits food intake. Fluid can easily be taken out in the doctor's office if the patient is finding the device too tight.
If for some reason the patient finds down the road that the lap band was not for them, the band can be removed, although that is not generally recommend by lap band doctors.
In all, there is much to discover and much to think about when one does their Lap Band Surgery Planning.
